My Grandmother, Joan, locked herself in a bathroom and shot herself in the head after dealing for several years with an abusive husband. My Mother was good friends with Brad (Butch) Walker's sister. Remembering the story several years later, Brand wrote the song about Joan with a made up back-story. I was completely serious. Joan was my Grandmother. |

I think this song is about an orgasm. I mean, really read into the lyrics. A supernova is when a star explodes, and doesn't it make sense to describe an orgasm that way? It feels like your body is going to explode. |
