the song is very very very good. but, just cuz its acoustic and somewhat sad doesnt mean its emo. Grade is emo... Moss Icon is emo.. Mineral is emo... this is not. well, thats besides the point. the song rocks and what got my attention was the video. i saw it on MMUSA and loved it. thats the most awesome music video ever. the outdoors and music blend so well (you dont see too often anymore... its all computer bullshit). its just a plain old good time with friends. its great. except, the lyrics of the song and video dont really fit. he's sad that nobody knows him for real and he he feels alone in the world when the video portrays him haveing fun with friends. oh well... its still very cool. |

Im not the greatest get up kids fan. i only really got "something to write home about" and "on a wire". both albums are very diferent from each other. "on a wire" is super chilled out and that happens to be my taste in music. kansas campfire sets the calm mood amazingly. i can hear that song and go on a total trip to like a chilled out place. the songs just about a good fun place were nothing maters. like utopia! so i love the song. and the effect he does to his voice adds too. |

i think that in the song the narrator is in denial. the girl already broke up with him and hes still living in the past. "thought i was loosing you, i fell in love with you" thats my opinion and ive been trying to figure out its meaning for a while now. |
