I'd say AshesFall01 hit it on the head. Basically we all succumb to our natural instincts (sure, we need some of them, but a lot we don't). We're greedy, we rape, we kill. It's basically saying we need to move away from this ("a brand new evolution, here begins a brand new line") and graduate from those instincts, because we no longer need them. I think the "pushed to our knees so let us pray" bit is probably just commenting on how the church almost forces us into this evolution, but only succeeds in driving us to kill anyways. AMAZINGLY powerful song. Probably my favourite. |

I always thought this song was about a girl because of the lines "On the way I saw five hours of sleep but your fire makes it all worth while. On the way I wrote words for you to keep." But the rest of it never made sense to me, I can see now it's probably about touring. |
