The song from what I gather is about a guy finds a dead girl's body under the boardwalk one night. I personally like to think the dead body is the same person that disappeared in '...And She Never Returned'.
Overall great album, love the horror themes in CKY's songs, this one doesn't disappoint. :) |

When I first heard this song without looking through the lyrics, I thought the song was describing the insanity that is fame, or becoming famous. "Cinema starring, bright light picture show" and "Dreams about gold" seems to hint at that.
The proper lyrics at the end of the chorus go "A dream we dream" not "Dream the dream". And that is something that many secretly or maybe not so secretly dream about: being famous.
Though now that I actually look at the lyrics, it may have a different meaning altogether. The "Twenty pine boxes stacked to the side" still puzzles me... |

When I first heard the song, I thought it was about a friend that had committed suicide and the person singing this is talking about he and his friend kept trying to move on in life despite difficulties, but now that he's gone, he's saying that they'll meet again - in Heaven, perhaps, or the afterlife.
Though after looking closely at the lyrics, it could be about a child of the singer's that was lost to a miscarriage. I heard some people say that that is actually what happened to the singer and if that's true, then it makes a lot of sense. |
