Hozier – To Be Alone Lyrics 6 years ago
@[_Gaia_:23105] your on point with your interpretation. But I disagree about our so called "rape culture". I respect your opinion but dont agree. Go visit a third world country and rethink your views. A very powerful song that I honestly never read into until today.

@[crocodile_smile:22953] I respect your opinion. My take on his rock effort is it wasnt. Dude was lost and trying to get back. All the lyrics always mention anger, uncomfortable, most of all sickness and death. Great artist, spoke of things society hides from. Props eyedea

Soundgarden – Christi Lyrics 6 years ago
Its talking about that other side. The part that society may or may not know. The thing that creates success or agony. Depending solely on how you choose. Instrumentals top notch, peace.

Soundgarden – Fresh Tendrils Lyrics 6 years ago
@[tsax421:22203] these songs are open for interpretation dude. CC did this on purpose,I feel he promotes thought. His lyrics are easily relatable to nuclear relation just as well as addiction. We all may agree on this, an underrated lyricist who actually said what he meant. Only his brahs are the only ones who will ever know

Temple of the Dog – Times Of Trouble Lyrics 6 years ago
My opinion:hard drugs and depression go hand in hand. He screams "hold on", he's saying depression is hard, drugs affect everyone differently. Hold on until you get clarity, hold until you are positive your existence isn't beneficial; isn't going to change. One fucked up thought on a hard buzz can bury you, but in these times make sure its what you want. RIP CC. I hope you found what you have been writing about. I am sad we lost you, but I am happy I was able to read your poetry brah.

Temple of the Dog – All Night Thing Lyrics 6 years ago
I agree with all of you. I started listening to temple about 2001. I have always considered "all night thing" a raw, deeper, emotional version of "wonderful tonight". I interpret it a little different after living life since. (I was 14 in '01). It seems like all early to mid nineties Northwest lyrics are associated with drug use. Lots may be, some major misinterpretation, some on point. Cornell never really explained his words, has frustrated me at times but I love the fact he pushed listener interpretation. Back on track now. All night thing to me is about personal drug use by yourself. The battle of your mind vs the way she looks at you. Hence first verse, she wanted to leave and be alone ( comfortable), "feeling at ease (the euphoria of a pleasurable high). I can keep explaining my view of his lyrics from there but.....Thanks for listening, listen to good music ya'll.
