| I think this song is basically a high school graduate spewing drunken honesty at a party. He's complelling his feelings towards his peers, his friends and the girl he's romantically or was romantically involved with. He's clearly not thinking straight and can only focus on her and the people at the party; getting distracted (does anyone else these girls are a little too young to be here) he urges her to change and let go of high schools, old friends and behaviors. Our Narrator did something to hurt or piss off this girl and wants to apolgise, and regrets what he did. He's only staying here at this party to make sure she's safe and isn't bothered by the other guys there, he really doesn't care about his feelings and needs to "keep her safe". In all he either passes out or is pulled off the mic. Anyways that my idea. Thanks! | |
