If you listen to Bartender (technically a non album track, but you can find it on begin to hope right after Hero), Hero bleeds straight into it with no pause. If you look at the two songs side by side, I think the this one is about childish defiance and determination. However, between the two songs, she gives up hope and resorts to spilling her feelings to a bartender and cajoling him into giving her "just a little more." It's a transformation from over-ambitious determination to completely giving up. |
