I'm shocked no one has commented on really any of Christine's lyrics. They are all so beautiful and this is my favorite track of hers in terms of her solo career. The meaning is sort of simple and easy to understand but basically the person in the song is in love with someone far away or someone who she was with before and wants to get together with hence "You're the challenge on my mind". But also this song can be about the feeling of being so scared to take a chance and be in love with someone special. She wants him to need her and want her as much as she does. |

| This was absolutely perfect. I agree with you on it all. I have someone in my life who this song rings so true to. I think "wondering what to buy" is meant to throw off the whole song in terms of meaning. He could be saying that said prize could've been bought and that they are contemplating what it is exactly. | |
