System of a Down – Old School Hollywood Lyrics | 9 years ago |
I always thought it was "Hey man don't you touch my balls" LOL! |

Jack Gilardi. Made a lot of shit. |
Aerosmith – Remember (Walking in the Sand) Lyrics | 9 years ago |
That's a fine song, my preferred by Aerosmith, but the last strophe sung screaming sounded horrible. The remaining is great, especially the "Remember" parts. |
Avenged Sevenfold – Fiction Lyrics | 9 years ago |
M. Shadows and Synyster Gates have stated in an interview to Hard Drive Radio: “ [...]The eeriest thing about it is there is a song on the album called "Fiction" (a nickname The Rev gave himself) which started out with the title "Death". And it was the last song The Rev wrote for the album, and when he handed it in, he said, 'That's it, that's the last song for this record'. And then, three days later, he died." [...] he died from an overdose of Oxycodone [1](Percocet), oxymorphone (a metabolite of oxycodone), diazepam (Valium), nordiazepam (a metabolite of diazepam) and alcohol. No one takes percocet, a metabolite of oxycodone, valium and a metabolite of diazepam mixed with alcohol because he wants get crazy. It's pretty clear he suicided. Such an amazing band with a tragic accident... breaks my heart. But well, if he feels he'd rather be death, then let him be. He's done enough by founding Avenged and writing amazing songs, as well allowing fans know that he didn't want to live anymore. |
Avenged Sevenfold – Danger Line Lyrics | 9 years ago |
And the last strophe is simply epic, with that tromphet, "I'm free" and the whistling after the solo. The whistling reminds me of Old West 8) |
Avenged Sevenfold – Danger Line Lyrics | 9 years ago |
It's probably about a soldier in a war and he begins to ponder about the battles, civilians, damage dealt to the region, and about his morals; why is he doing that? He then understands all that is ridiculous, meaningless, and afterwards he is shot and is left there to die, probably on an enemy attack, and he finally finds himself freed from that hell of battling on a war he doesn't find correct to. Before dying, he thinks about his daughter, who'll be left orphan. Summing it up, it's an anti-war song. |
Megadeth – Sweating Bullets Lyrics | 9 years ago |
Guys, this probably can also speak about Cold War. Hello me, meet the real me And my misfit's way of life If it speaks about USA, it's talking about the confidential America and its severe weapon technology. If it speaks about Russia, then it's about the countless secret military bases. A dark black past is my Most valued possession Russian's past is dark, mostly because to Stalin (hey, we're speaking about stereotyped evil Russian here). USA's past could refer to the Civil War. Idk. Hindsight is always 20-20 But looking back it's still a bit fuzzy Hindsight: Something happened, and what'll happen next is something predictable. The confusion with Berlin's separation, the Cuban Crisis or the natural rivalry, it can be anything. However, it is unclear why each nation hate each other. Also, 20-20 means equal, so; before the rivalry happened, everyone knew nobody could win this battle. Speak of mutually assured destruction? Nice story, tell it to Reader's Digest!!! Mutually assured destruction (MAD) is when both the attacker and defender gets completely annihilated using weapons of mass destruction - nuclear bombs. Reader's Digest mostly shaped American's opinions over 20th Century, so if authorities said "Hey, the Russian are planning with MAD", it's gonna be published and everyone will think Russians are evil. Feeling paranoid True enemy or false friend? Pretty much it. I didn't study this epoch yet, but I can assume they made an ideological game of faking their opinions against each other, though everyone knew they were enemies. Hence "true enemy" or "false friend"... is him being fake or truly spiteful? Anxiety's attacking me and My air is getting thin I'm in trouble for the things I haven't got to yet I'm chomping at the bit and my Palms are getting wet, sweating bullets I'm sure it speaks about the paranoia of communism by the Western and Russian's overwhelming care against any type of capitalism shit, American spies, bombs, plans, etc. Sweating bullets cause, since they are "false friends" and they don't know what's actually going on under the sheets, they have no reason to be afraid, though there's an intuition shit's gonna happen. -- Hello me, it's me again You can subdue but never tame me It gives me a migraine headache Sinking down to your level Yea, just keep on thinking it's my fault And stay an inch or two outta kicking distance Mankind has got to know His limitations "Hello URSS, it's the Secret 'Murica again"/"Hello Yankees, it's the paranoic URSS here" "You can say I'm evil and I'm doing all evil stuff happening on earth, but you're not gonna make me stop. I'm continuing the evil Vietnam War and that ain't gonna stop because there are a bunch of hippies saying to quit it." - "Never Tame me", the war is not going to stop because you want to. "You know, I get a headache when I have to do as you and have an armed battle, rather than defaming you" - "Gives a headache to sink down", to act as you and send soldiers and stuff to win this hopeless war. "Yeah, everything on word is my fault, Communism's/Capitalism's fault, and you better believe on it" - I like when people say it's all my fault, so I can be the bad guy and do mean, evil things, nobody's gonna complain because hey, I'm the villain here! "Now back off from my citizens and get your missiles the heck away from here" - "Stay an inch outta distance", you better back off so I don't send missiles at you. That includes spies, missiles, submarines and all that sorta stuff. "We all need to know you can't do that to me, you have a limit and if you trespass it MAD's gonna happen" - "Mankind; limitation", if you attempt to get past your limitation all life on Earth shall be ended with a nuclear war. ---- Well, me... it's nice talking to myself A credit to dementia Some day you too will know my pain And smile its blacktooth grin If the war inside my head Won't take a day off I'll be dead My icy fingers claw your back Here I come again "Well me" refers to not a country or another, but to their secret and confidential stuff, that is, it refers to the Cold War speaking to itself... the surface Cold war, where everyone know what is happening, with Nuclear Crisiss and Vietnam War, speaking with the paranoid and true war, which has computers, viruses, submarines, spies, top secret weapon tests, secret bases under 1000 miles from the surface, etc. "Some day you too will know my pain" - It means that the destruction and suffering the URSS had with the Revolution, Americans will know it as well and act exactly the same as them, being completely insane and paranoid. --- "If the war inside my head" - If my paranoid doesn't end, this country will fall apart and it will suffer more revolutions, riots and overall unsatisfactory population. --- "My icy fingers" - It can refer to cold, dead killer; to Cold War's fingers, or even to Russian's fingers said as cold. Note that each verse probably speaks about the Cold War in vision of each country. --- Once you committed me Now you've acquitted me "First, you said that I did the evil things in this world, and then, after URSS became Russia, I'm the good guy again. HAH! Pathetic." Claiming validity For your stupidity "Cold War is your fault, you said...", can refer to any country I'm chomping at the bit I'm sharpening the axe "But the game is not over yet. I've just rested up, reading myself, sharpening my battleaxe (getting prepared for battle)" Here I come again, whoa! "Told ya I was getting ready. Here I come again, to attack and surprise you through secret, high stealth strikes!" Sweating bullets "You don't know what hit you, but something definitively hit you... feel nervous, because you're not safe. How to protect yourself, you are unaware of." That's pretty much how it makes any sense when compared to the Cold War. |
Megadeth – Sudden Death Lyrics | 9 years ago |
Just like everyone I have my personal thoughts about this song. This song could also speak about WWII and its participants, as well warfare. His evil Highness born from disaster To dominate and to kill Hitler became an evil "highness" after the WWI disaster, the stab in the back A glistening murder machine False majesty standing perfectly still He managed to deceive the people, acting like a good man while in fact he wanted to kill several people for, you know, hitleric stuff. A blitzkrieg raining down evil On a mountain of black ice Airstrikes, in a blitzkrieg form, assaults and causes a mountain of black ice, it may signify a pile of dead, cold corpses. Like a good old fashioned beating within Inches of your life Luffwaffe was Germany's pride (air force). Also, most generals firstly didn't approve the mechanical shit, it was implanted by some generals and the idea became quite accepted. While alone and left abandoned With the sentence you've been handed All your angels will ignore you As your life flashes before you This now may go all away to Japanese soldiers. You're serving the Mikado and you're either in Hiroshima or Nagasaki, perhaps awaiting to be deployed, when you see the atomic bomb blowing up and you know you're dead. All your gods have abandoned you, and your life is over. Even still you keep on fighting Through the thunder and the lightning This now may go all away. This can go on ferocious Japanese battles, which were hopeless, such as Iwo Jima or Okinawa. Though this seems too deep and a strange transition. And now Heaven sends its love Your sudden death from above You're that Japanese bud again. The beast is genetically programmed Time to destroy, time to go berserk To see the end of all wars To see the end of the Earth The beast is the atomic bomb. It goes berserk as it destroys two Japanese cities. The Atomic Bomb can cause an Atomic War, furthermore ending life on Earth - and wars. That's all that accurates with World War Two. Any other term or piece of the song, either aren't connected or I couldn't find a solution. I don't think the song actually says about it, because the meanings I've put here are way too deep, hidden and would require a further research of WWII. Only the first verse deeply connects with Hitler, at all. |
Megadeth – Mechanix Lyrics | 9 years ago |
That's the real Four Horsemen, but I agree, this one is really terrible. |
Megadeth – Mechanix Lyrics | 9 years ago |
If Mustaine got over his rancor, coming from such a peeve guy like he is (he's nice, but he's really revengeful), why can't these fucking bastards do either? |
Megadeth – High Speed Dirt Lyrics | 9 years ago |
If this was an instrumental music I'd sure as hell it's about a motherfucking awesome hayseed racer who wins every race in the countryside. "High Speed" - cars, "Dirt" - bandlands, rednecks, the solo - classic country rock, etc. |
Megadeth – High Speed Dirt Lyrics | 9 years ago |
Makes sense, because in the end you hear what would be a splash. |
Megadeth – Foreclosure Of A Dream Lyrics | 9 years ago |
This song is the album's softest. It may seem sad in the beginning, but the chorus is pretty energetic and the overall singing compensates with the morose guitar riff. After you listen for a moment, you can see it as a regular song, as many of these pop songs, seemingly sad but actually quite fun. The solo bridge that seems like electronic is also amazing. This song is overall great, and is probably one of the best in the album... well, it's difficult to say, the album is full of pearls. |
Megadeth – Foreclosure Of A Dream Lyrics | 9 years ago |
I thought about jets and drones, but your idea seems better. |
Megadeth – Anarchy in the U.K. (Sex Pistols cover) Lyrics | 9 years ago |
Of course it is. Singers change voices marvelously. Listen to Painkiller by Judas, you won't believe it's the actual Halford. Watch an interview with Mustaine, you wouldn't believe how much he modifies his voice to sing to Megadeth. |
Skindred – Nobody Lyrics | 10 years ago |
After listening to the same part about 100 times, I may surely say it is not "Come follow me and a bunch of numbers", but in fact: "Come follow me when I'm going just as I'm someone tha' wouldn't betray ya" Assuming we're talking about mosh pittens, we may say this guy, Skindred's singer, is helping a noob mosher not to get his ass kicked and in order to do that he must trust him, as he isn't someone who'll betray him. The last verse changes; however, to: "come follow me when i'm goin' just as someone just jump and land and" You can clearly listen to 'jump and land'; however, "when i'm goin'" is a hundred percent guess assuming of the vibrating levels of that part. Not even God knows what he sings on it. Yes, this was fucking hardcore to find out. |
Megadeth – Take No Prisoners Lyrics | 10 years ago |
Metallica's put five good albums only, until the Black Album -> the followings are shit. Now Mustaine's Peace Sell is quite awesome too and there are several singles that are quite awesome. Metallica isn't better. Mega isn't, either. Just imagine how it would be Mustaine & Metallica... Kill 'Em All with increasing quality |
Megadeth – Take No Prisoners Lyrics | 10 years ago |
First it begins tellin' how German slaughtered the Polish. It then advances to the Normandy Invasion planning, where the British & Americans are like "No shit, man, we'll get this done easy". Meanwhile, a soldier - of which nation I don't know, probably a German dude - is fightin' and he's attacked by the enemy. He's agonizing there and nobody cares to help him, this is war after all! If he manages to escape, his nation he fought for cared nothing for paying him an insurance - he's probably lost his legs, or something similar. The main message is: Massacration -> Underestimating -> How wars are purely between nations and that you're nothing but a miserable pawn that nobody gives a shit for. |
Muse – Knights of Cydonia Lyrics | 10 years ago |
By the way, Ancient Greece and veins of history have EVERYTHING in common. How it's relationed to this song, I don't know. |
Muse – Knights of Cydonia Lyrics | 10 years ago |
Just a small fact I think it's good to mention... Cydonia is the ancient name for Crete, perhaps around 300 BC, under Pergamon (Greek city-state) control. |
Megadeth – Peace Sells Lyrics | 10 years ago |
"What you mean I ain't kind? Just not your kind." One of the greatest replies somebody could say. This song is simply incredible. |
Metallica – Fade To Black Lyrics | 10 years ago |
The song's so awesome it makes it worth live just to listen to it. |
Black Sabbath – Planet Caravan Lyrics | 10 years ago |
War Pigs visualizes a war world, and so does Paranoid, or at least its aftermath. We could suppose that Planet Caravan is on the same time as War Pigs, war times, and more specifically, WWII! It speaks about aliens, I guess. Starwatcher's brilliant review should be useful. But then, "While down below the trees Bathed in cool breeze Silver starlight breaks down the night" Silver starlight, couldn't it have something with war intruments, weapons, etc? I know it doesn't speak about this, but alien things checking out humans on WWII time... Foo Fighters? Hmm. |
Black Sabbath – Planet Caravan Lyrics | 10 years ago |
Reading your commentary while listening to the music is simply awesome. It's touching because it's a cold, unfortunate true. But oh, well, let's enjoy the nice, traveling part of this. |
Black Sabbath – War Pigs Lyrics | 10 years ago |
Yeah, just like everyone said it's about these that commands the wars and sacrifices their soldiers, sometimes just as an pretext. But in the end, no matter how powerful this war pig was, they are still no match for God, and they will be paid with the same coin - the war pig God will take them to suffer at Hell. A.K.A. be nice to your soldiers or you'll go to hell. |
