'I'm tired of being what you want me to be' It reminds me of how I've been living my whole life. Trying so hard to please someone with everything you do... The lyrics go on, explaining that the person is tired of being told what they were supposed to be. After a while the person finally figures out they need to be who they want to be. They're tired of living up to expectations. It literally makes you so numb, trying to make others happy while you live a miserable life. You need to be who you want to be, not what others expect of you. |

Honestly, it reminds me of those times where I feel like nothing in this world is ever going to help me out of this darkness that seems to haunt me all the time. That I can be happy for one second, then something small will come at me and it will send me falling down, deeper into depression. But that I'll get up sometime soon, because everyone falls sometimes. And I don't need to have people influence the way I feel. If I'm upset I need to focus on that sadness until I find a way around it, and I will eventually pick myself up. |
