Under The Influence Of Giants – In the Clouds Lyrics 11 years ago
I thought the room was shaking because their alter egos were rock and rolling next door. So when the wall blows open, it seems to me like they're giving in to the pull of the music and becoming who they were meant to be. Like the lyrics, it seems like saying goodbye to innocence or security and then finding freedom. Just my thoughts...

Weird Al Yankovic – Trigger Happy Lyrics 11 years ago
One of the funniest lines I think Al ever wrote, my friend and I quote it all the time to make each other laugh:

I filled that kitty cat so full of lead,
We'll have to use him for a pencil instead.

Poor thing! LOL

Killing Joke – Love Like Blood Lyrics 11 years ago
I heard this song while dancing in a goth club in the early 90s and every time I hear it, I'm reminded me of that moment. It's just a gorgeous song that always moves my soul.

Awolnation – Knights Of Shame Lyrics 11 years ago
TNT's a type of explosive and I think lyrics refer to how people thought 2012 could be the end of the world. Still ryptic, but I think it could refer to wanting to explode, have the music be recognized and enjoyed even if the world was really about to end.

Just my 2 cents, nice interpretation!

Awolnation – Jump On My Shoulders Lyrics 11 years ago
I think it's about how money makes people crazy, but what matters is enjoying life and love. The mad man reminds me of rich people I've worked for in soulless jobs that eventually crumble because they mean nothing. The mad man's waiting for someone to stumble to tear them down (or fire them) so he can feel control, but he's ultimately miserable. When money doesn't matter, you can open your eyes to what's really important like life and love, friends and fun.

Working for rich people is kind of like robbing them. The chorus reminds me of going to a concert or club. Even though we don't make a lot of money, my husband and I always find a way to go to concerts and have fun with our friends. "Jump on my Shoulders" makes me think of going to a concert and, as a girl it's sometimes hard to see. I actually think it's pretty romantic because he seems to be saying 'I'll hold you up and we can just dance and have fun.'

I think "The devil's lost control" refers to not letting money rule our lives. "Live in the water/I'm scared of the city" reminds me it's important to return to nature, since I actually do live in a city and it gets overwhelming. The last lyric is the most meaningful, I think because it's so easy to relate to. It's like life's hard for all of us, but whatever you're looking for - it's worth it in the end if you don't give up. Just my interpretation. It's an amazing song.
