Most likely my favourite song of his, at the moment. It's a beautiful open letter to Laurie Allen, explaining that he loves her and although all this time has past he can't get over what he missed out on, he still wishes they could be together and she's still the inspiration to his songs. Despite the fact he wishes to see her, he knows after all he's been through and how he's changed physically and mentally, she'd be perplexed at what she saw if they met again and her mind would be contorted as to what to think about him and how to engage him. |

Yeah man, this is how I see this song. People are interpreting this as a song about drugs, but from what I've learned about his life, his devout Christianity and the frame of mind he was in around the creation of this song, I believe it's about the devil and how he believed the devil played so much influence on him and his music career and the demons he believed plagued and chased him |
