Interesting...I have a totally different interpretation. So we all agree he feels "behind" someone. In my opinion this other person is "sober him". if you've been an addict, you'll know the feeling. The "civilian" you feels weird, slow, awkward, while you have this image of you as a superhero when you're on "whatever it is you're addicted to". He hates this part of him, envies him, is jealous of it...yet is drawned to it. Please correct me if you see any flaw in this, because I've been hearing that way for years... |
