One of the few good songs by Big and Rich.

Peace and prosperity begin at home.

Foo Fighters – Long Road To Ruin Lyrics 9 years ago
I think this song is about the irony of "fighting" for peace; with each side convinced that their cause is the most just and righteous.

Blue October – Come in Closer Lyrics 9 years ago
The info at the top credits Pharrell and Hugo Williams as writers of this song. I wouldn't know how to confirm, but I almost positive that this song was written by Justin himself. Wikipedia indicates that it was written by Justin and I'm inclined to believe that.

Lana Del Rey – Video Games Lyrics 9 years ago
The first time I heard this song I thought it was kinda like an ode to modern men. Most young men these days are gamers and despite the negativity and antagonism towards gaming, girls still love them, and they have girlfriends and wives and children. I thought it was a kind of an acknowledgement of video games being the new masculine hobby and bonding activity and how women will love men no matter what their priorities are. Even when he doesn't put her first she still adores him.

However, now that I've read the comments I think I suck at interpreting songs and I'm sad now. :-(

Marilyn Manson – Golden Years (David Bowie cover) Lyrics 9 years ago
When I listen to David Bowie signing this, it sounds so sweet, like, "I'm going love my angel throughout life come what may." When I hear Marilyn Mason sing this song, it sounds creepy, like, "I'm going to stalk you for all eternity and there's nothing you can do about it!"

Ed Sheeran – Don't Lyrics 9 years ago
@[ty11679478:465] This song was written by Conesha Monet Owens and Raphael Sadiq not Ed Sheeran. Not sure where you got this story from, but I doubt there's much truth in it.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it Coeur de Lion? I don't know what "coeuf de leon" means.

David Bowie – Ricochet Lyrics 9 years ago
There weren't many comments on this song so I was left alone to figure out an interpretation that suited me.

I think this song is about people who sacrifice tomorrow for today and ultimately waste their lives.
People who toil away their lives in thankless mind-numbing jobs just trying to get by. People who recklessly chase impossible dreams. People who drift through life waiting for opportunities to present themselves. People who get addicted to drugs, alcohol, or destructive behaviors. People who stay in abusive relationships. People who make deals with the devil because today's fears outweigh tomorrow's salvation.
Every day they work a little, and suffer a little, and hope a little, but nothing every really changes. They eventually find themselves old and worn out and the dreams they once had of a joyful life have evaporated. They reach the end of their lives exhausted, depressed, and full of regret. The worst part is that even if they could do it all over again, they know they would make the exact same choices because even after all this time, they still don't know better. They know this unfulfilling lifestyle is a problem, but they have no solution to speak of.

The last paragraph gets me the most. -
An exhausted father comes home to his children after a long day at work. He smiles, hugs them, and is reminded of why he's willing to make such sacrifices.
This man doesn't get to see his children often and he promises that he'll make it up to them. Someday he'll find the time to watch a movie with them. Someday soon he'll find the time to play a game with them. One day he'll take them to Disney World.
Only someday never comes; and his children grow up at a distance and eventually follow in his footsteps.

David Bowie – Joe the Lion Lyrics 9 years ago
This song reminds of the story, "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty". Mitty is a boring, submissive, weak, man; but in his dreams he is the bold hero everyone looks to in awe. I think Joe refers to the "average Joe" and how he wishes he could be more than average.

OneRepublic – Love Runs Out Lyrics 9 years ago
My interpretation is simple. The band thoroughly enjoys making music and being entertainers; and they'll continue to entertain until their fans no longer want them, or "until the love runs out."

David Bowie – Soul Love Lyrics 10 years ago
I think that "stone love" refers to the tombSTONE. People visit the grave-sites of deceased loved ones as if they are still there, but they aren't.

David Bowie – Wild Eyed Boy from Freecloud Lyrics 10 years ago
Your interpretation was perfect until the end. I believe the boy tried to warn the people about an imminent landslide or avalanche. They did not believe him and as result, they and their village were destroyed.

Paula Cole – Road To Dead Lyrics 11 years ago
Not sure, but here are my thoughts.

She was religious. She was faithful and obedient.
Then she bonded with a non-believer whom she converted.
After a time, for whatever reason, she no longer desired to adhere to the doctrine she was once faithful to.
Her companion however, is now more devoted to the religion than to her. Her companion decides to walk away from the relationship and disappoints her.
I think she is especially disappointed because, although her companion believes everything she taught them, they do nothing to save her in return.
