Kinda funny how comparable solitude is to hallucinogenic drugs... who needs shrooms when you're an introvert? However, in my opinion, the song is definitely about being an introvert. Love the line "There's a party in my head and no one is invited." |

Maybe i'm taking this song too much for face value, but I think this song is refering to Al Spx's (Cold Specks) personal beliefs. "Blank Maps" refers to how we are given very little direction in life nor are we given any evidence whether or not there is more than a physical reality. She professes that we cannot truly know whether or not there is anything more, we have to have faith and believe - "I am a goddamn believer." Lyrics like "Keep your eyes closed, your ear to the ground" express that you have to trust something more than what you can see. "When words head for the cracks will you have my back" is her way of saying that when words are useless, only faith will be able to help you. Regardless, it's a great song! |
