Here's my opinion. The character in the song is in love with a woman. For whatever reason, he is not in a relationship with her. His love is overwhelming and not being with her means she puts a "trigger switch" in his brain. It's a feeling of great hurt that triggers off from not being in her life. The second verse is him crying out in emotion to his mother at how much he needs the girl in his life. The third verse probably implies a level of delusion in the mind of the character with the Jesus Christ line. I would take the fourth verse as him taking out his inner pain by smashing things and crashing cars, which is quite disturbing. Last line of the song is self explanatory, eg He loves the girl an incredible amount. |

I think this song is about necrophilia isn't it? It's from a concept album about a serial killer/rapist. Lips of ashes being the lips of dead people. |
