It tells a story about one more relationship which did not work (because the girl is beautiful but shallow and worried about money). He loses his interest in her, and she tells him that their relationship was somehow convenient and they could support each other for some time, but if she was to stay it would never be for too long. That's basically happening with him with more then one girl. And people around him scream they gonna see him real soon closer to the sun and far from the moon. The sun represents the light of awareness and consciousness alongside with the right girl which people are certain he will find. While the moon is the opposite. However, he repeats the song all over meaning that yeas people feel that way but the same situation keeps on happening with him.
