Pearl Jam – Just Breathe Lyrics | 12 years ago |
WHY did you mark that down? It was a fair statement. Geesh. I keep gettin' a raw deal from you tonight! Whatever crawled up your gorgeous butt is STILL stuck there. Do me a favor and yank it out! You waste too much time being a grump!!! |
Pearl Jam – Just Breathe Lyrics | 12 years ago |
I agree...NOT about his dog. Sometimes we don't allow ourselves to connect with others for different reasons. Sometimes we're just so used to losing that we give up trying. And sometimes we regret our loss...and sometimes we don't. Life is at leaat never dull. It's ever-changing and we grow from every experience, even the bad ones. |
Radiohead – The Butcher Lyrics | 12 years ago |
born with "original sin." And, yes, I do know it all (since I'm going to quickly be accused of that:) If Eve had not forced that damn apple down Adam's throat we would all be perfect! Women!!! |
Devendra Banhart – Autumn's Child Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Not one of you bozo's actually interpreted this difficult song. And I am clueless! |
Leonard Cohen – Famous Blue Raincoat Lyrics | 12 years ago |
I like your 2 cents. It's invaluable... |
Nujabes – Luv(sic) pt. 2 feat. Shing02 Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Sorry. My math was off. |
Nujabes – Luv(sic) pt. 2 feat. Shing02 Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Sin is already taxed high enough; I've had to go from 7 packs of cigarettes a day to 7 cigarettes a week:( |
Nujabes – Luv(sic) pt. 2 feat. Shing02 Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Arrr Arrr. I am going to go out on a LIMB here and conclude that you did not find my comment racially insensitive. |
Nujabes – Luv(sic) pt. 2 feat. Shing02 Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Japanese???? Where did he learn English?!!! |
Nujabes – Luv(sic) pt. 2 feat. Shing02 Lyrics | 12 years ago |
He says "conversate." It's not a word! Is Nujabas a black man? I'm guessin' since he later says "ethnic race" that he is indeed a minority. (I have a 'conversate' pet peeve...that and "axing" children) |
The Black Keys – Little Black Submarines Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Y'all missed something good. Those operators were real live human beings, and usually very friendly females. Nowadays we get automated messages and what seems like a million buttons to push before we get where we want to get (in a company, for example). Jim Croce's music touched people due to its connection with human emotions. This particular song is excellent, although I never would have come up with everyone's interpretion of it. |
Timber Timbre – Lay Down in the Tall Grass Lyrics | 12 years ago |
It's about dreams. Nothing more than dreams. |
Karen Dalton – Katie Cruel Lyrics | 12 years ago |
The lyrics are obvious. Ever met someone who just doesn't get it....they can't or won't realize that others can be angry at them for specific actions but not change their overall feel for that person. |
Portishead – Magic Doors Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Except that he's talking to HIMSELF. |
Midlake – Acts of Man Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Man, YOU didn't even comment (or at least interpret the lyrics:). It may be a strong track, but what the heck does it mean?! |
Saez – So Gorgeous Lyrics | 12 years ago |
If grace has a name It would be yours It's written in our eyes It's written in our hands Impossible is love Possible is to love But still provided Remains the Immaculate Because you are so gorgeous Even if I want to be alone You are so gorgeous Even if I never wanted to fall You are so gorgeous Even if I used to walk alone You are so gorgeous Do not look down And let the fates And green and blue Marry so But no one knows tomorrow You say so Who knows we would like Under the divine breath Because you are so gorgeous Even if I want to be alone You are so gorgeous Even if I never wanted to fall You are so gorgeous Even if I used to walk alone You are so gorgeous Because you are so gorgeous Even if I want to be alone You are so gorgeous Even if I never wanted to fall You are so gorgeous Even if I used to walk alone You are so gorgeous If love is a temple And there must pray As we pray the sky If love is a temple You you'll be my religion Because you 're gorgeous Even if I want to be alone You are so gorgeous Even if I never wanted to fall You are so gorgeous Even if I used to walk alone You are so gorgeous You are the one You're the one |
MxPx – Do Your Feet Hurt? Lyrics | 12 years ago |
I was with you until your last STOOPID sentence. I suppose songs shouldn't be written about people's children; or love for partying; or about their lovers. Faith to many Christians is NO different than a person's love for a favorite person or possession. You wouldn't ask those people to remain silent about their love, but for some reason it's fine to be intollerant (and downright hostile) toward Christians. I say GROW UP, please. |
Beastie Boys – (You Gotta) Fight for Your Right (To Party!) Lyrics | 12 years ago |
I think you should substitute "and" for "but" 'cause rebelling against parents is a rite of passage. This song was "the bomb" when it first hit the airwaves. Nobody really thought the band would last long; how wrong we were...thankfully:) |
Beastie Boys – Ch-Check It Out Lyrics | 12 years ago |
A....N...D they're not OFF KEY as Kanye West is in most (if not all) of his tracks! This song isn't crunk, but it's good rap regardless. |
Beastie Boys – Brass Monkey Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Good song about booze. And another good musician gone long before s/he should die a natural death. RIP. |
Gotye – Somebody That I Used To Know Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Mr. Blow, would you please analyze Mardy Bum by the Arctic Monkeys for me? ;) |
Gotye – Somebody That I Used To Know Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Man, that initial interpretation is LONG. That guy must be a long-winded blowhard. I'm quite sure he can find better things to do with that mouth. (And I'm quite sure he has:) |
Gotye – Somebody That I Used To Know Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Hmmmm....that leave me out. You said they had a 'romantic relationship." HAHAHA |
The Smiths – Unhappy Birthday Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Get it? Arrrr Arrrr. Hey it really was a good one:) |
The Smiths – Unhappy Birthday Lyrics | 12 years ago |
You say it's your birthday? |
The Smiths – Unhappy Birthday Lyrics | 12 years ago |
You make sense here....and it's not book length. Thanks for explaining the song so well. |
The Smiths – Unhappy Birthday Lyrics | 12 years ago |
I doubt he's being witty. It's probably sarcastic, and sarcasism often masks anger. I find little redeeming in the song (is there an "a" in that word...dang). I love the talent of Morrissey, but this song just reaks (is there a "w" in that word...friggin' A). Yes, I'm OBNOXIOUS, among many OTHER bad things. |
The Killers – Read My Mind Lyrics | 12 years ago |
You are obviously too young to get the broken wrist metaphor. Before my time even broken wrist (or limp wrist) meant you were a sissy. It later, unfortunately, morphed into meaning you were gay (and not the happy kind). "A broken wrist and a big trapeze" means (to me, anyway) that he has a big feat to accomplish and it's a scary one. I could be wrong, and I'm sure you'll let me know if I am. After reading your not-so-brief song interpretation, now I fully understand why some allowed my wickedly long papers. |
Taking Back Sunday – Your Own Disaster Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Great song. So glad someone posted on it so I saw it. Need to hear more from the band! "Lush" was my nickname in high school along with "Spaz" so songs like this always interest me. The song is from the point of view of someone angry and resentful. |
Florence + the Machine – Shake It Out Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Why so many words to decipher this song. It's about breathing....taking it in; letting it out; and not worrying. Life goes on. It always does. Our reaction to an event is what determines our levels of happiness/sadness. I LUV Florence; her flare for drama is impecdable. Anyone know if she has a background in theater? |
Devo – Dr. Detroit Lyrics | 12 years ago |
put so many others with my user names? Only 6 are mine. And to think I thought you found me special. I told you all of us females would begin to look alike :( |
August Burns Red – Rationalist Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Love the song, and if it gets individuals talking about religion; faith; non-belief than that's an added bonus. Just wondering why we're all supposed to be tolerant of everyone except Christians and fat people..and why we'll consider the possiblity of alien life form elsewhere but not the concept of a higher being called God:) Who the heck is responsible for evolution? I choose to believe in God, and His teachings have been proven wise for centuries. When I was an atheist for over two decades I NEVER felt the need to insult Christians. Confident atheists don't feel the need to look down on or challenge those of faith. Show some respect...where's all that inclusion and tolerance shit:) |
August Burns Red – Rationalist Lyrics | 12 years ago |
LOL...God does talk about that nasty lil' bugger called "pride." So because you believe you know everything and you're the center of your universe makes you brigher? More important? Wiser? That's funny. The fact that you either can't or don't see possiblities and are unable to explain many occurances in life makes me wonder if you're more ego than brains. |
August Burns Red – Rationalist Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Who gave me a thumbs up. I said I couldn't type, not couldn't think;) |
August Burns Red – Rationalist Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Dang, I cannot type today! |
August Burns Red – Rationalist Lyrics | 12 years ago |
There is so much 'evidence" if only people would open their eyes. Look at all the sins God talks about and look at the consequences on individuals; groups; and society as a whole. He talks about greed; war; love/hate; divorce; adultry; dependence; homosexuality; etc. And look at what we have when we see...how many hurt due to us going against the teachings. You cannot disprove faith and those with faith are under no obligation to prove it. You cannot prove how you got here; why you're here; and where'd you're going, so does that mean you do not exist??? |
Gotye – Somebody That I Used To Know Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Spot on. It ended before it ever began. Glad that's explained. Time to run... |
Girl Talk – Oh No Lyrics | 12 years ago |
He used 'freak' in a song so ya know it's GOTTA be good! Just discovered this artist yesterday. (Hey, what can I say...I'm s.....l.....o.....w). I luv him! This song is great. Don't relate to it personally, but that doesn't lessen its charm. |
Monsters of Folk – Man Named Truth Lyrics | 12 years ago |
The song doesn't make sense. |
Malaya – Refrain Lyrics | 12 years ago |
"You won't believe in me." Nope, you got it....not until I can reach out and touch what I assumse is a very soft ruggedly handsome face. And I know it ain't EVER gonna happen. |
Bad Religion – Atheist Peace Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Give it a rest. Atheists committ autrocities daily, but are just too ignornant to join forces with other atheists;) I said that tongue-in-cheek...just wanted to sound as stoopid as you did. The Palestinians are hurting due to their chosen "leadership." Palestinians are the Palentinians own worst enemies. They got Gaza (big mistake) so now their "leadership" can send rockets into Israel daily. PEOPLE commit crimes in the name of religion, and that has NOTHING to do with God!!! Learn to separate the difference, please, or remain in your black hole of ignorance and prejudice. |
Five Finger Death Punch – Back For More Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Yes, but Raise Up by Petey Pablo is better:) |
David Bowie – Heathen (The Rays) Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Does he even have a latter career? Seems it went nowhere after his initial success, although personally I find the man quite talented. |
Radiohead – Karma Police Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Like the song and love the band, although I don't believe there's anything called karma. His name is GOD:) It always amazes me how many will laugh at those with faith because they believe in Him (a higher power) yet THEY believe in the concept of karma. Makes absolutely NO sense, although the song is wonderful. (And don't think I didn't notice that you JUST added this song to your mixtape:) Cute. Always cute. |
Coldplay – Paradise Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Beautiful song which the band performed on national television last night. GREAT band and so happy to see it getting more national exposure. Obviously about being in paradise while dreaming. The song has such a warm and uplifting feel to it. |
Counting Crows – Have You Seen Me Lately Lyrics | 12 years ago |
You obviously made much more sense when you were younger;) GOOD interpretation, Joe. |
Counting Crows – Have You Seen Me Lately Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Impressive? He wrote all that and he was just plain wrong;) |
Katy Perry – Firework Lyrics | 12 years ago |
That's it! You have forced me to stomach entertainment news which I would have otherwise avoided like the plague it is...and I'm STILL no closer to learning the connection between Katy and Ball. As for Kanye West on this song, you have noticed that the HIT version is the one omitting his horrible vocals :) He sux. Ain't no way around it; he sux! |
Katy Perry – Firework Lyrics | 12 years ago |
OK, how is this screenwriter connected to Katy Perry??? |
Katy Perry – Firework Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Who the heck is Alan Ball? I hate it when I'm put to work; couldn't I just have one full day of relaxing on my arse and doing NOTHING. Geesh:( |
