I believe the song is about a casual relationship, nothing serious. The people still don't know each other well and it's a sweet "love type thing". They are sleeping together but want no one to know ("keep your ears wide open,for the sound of the door") because they are not convinced it's a "sure type thing". |

I don't think it is mainly about her sexuality. Though, she mentioned either a relation with a man and a relationship with a women.
It is more about her fitting into these relationships. How she is forced into changing and becoming someone else because "everyone wants a little more". It all repeats over and over again with every person cause no one accepts her the way she is. At the end she finds it hard to find her "old self". |
