Pink Floyd – [The Wall Concept] Lyrics 11 years ago
The thing that gets me the most about this album is that it's meant to be a loop. The first song (In the flesh?), you hear quietly 'we came in?' The last song (in the flesh), at the end, you hear, 'is this where?' it's just a constant circle, a neverending loop, and it makes me feel depressed as all hell, knowing that pink is just stuck inside the wall forever.

The Beatles – While My Guitar Gently Weeps Lyrics 11 years ago
It means open your eyes, look at the floor you're standing on, look at the world that is turning all the time, look at the love we all have inside of us if only we were willing to let it show. It isn't his guitar weeping, it's him, crying for everybody because we're all rotten, bought and sold, deserted, you know, all the bad things. And at the end he's not crying for 'Paul' or 'Faul' he's just CRYING.

The Beatles – Hey Jude Lyrics 11 years ago
Jude = Julian Lennon, John's first son. At the time, Paul visited Cynthia when she was divorcing John. John was barely around to see Julian grow up, and his relationship was strained b/c of his own issues and Yoko. Paul wrote this song to Julian (originally titled Hey Jules) to make him feel better.

The Beatles – Hello Little Girl Lyrics 11 years ago
Paul's first written song was 'I lost my little girl' and John's 'Hello little girl'. Looks like John found her :)

The Beatles – Glass Onion Lyrics 11 years ago
I genuinely just think it's an imagery song, like strawberry fields forever it has some personal imagery, but mostly it's just drug-induced and, of course, Lennon fucking with us all about the PID nonsense.

The Beatles – Can You Take Me Back Lyrics 11 years ago
Since it's at the end of cry baby cry, I'd assume it was something to do with that song. In the song, they're having a seance, and I know that the children were putting on the voices, but doesn't it make sense, too, to have this as a ghost singing. Can you take me back? He wants to live again. For a while I believed in the paul is dead thingy, and all other interpretations do kinda make sense. But I think it's something to do with the seance.

Bob Dylan – Don't Think Twice, It's All Right Lyrics 12 years ago
I agree with mostly everyone else's comments about a love that's lost etc. Whenever I hear it I just feel this deep kind of calmness. Everytime Bob sings 'Don't think twice, it's all right' it just kind of soothes me and makes me realise that everything will be alright really, in the end, and that I shouldn't think about things too much. I know it's about love but that line stands out to me more than anything. I'm getting a tattoo of it soon to remind me to keep going : )

The Beatles – Savoy Truffle Lyrics 12 years ago
I know this song is actually about a box of chocolates or whatever, but whenever I listen to it I immediately start thinking about George and all the women he's had. I mean all the different type of chocolate, some sweet, some sour. That's just my opinion don't rate me down you fags

The Beatles – Because Lyrics 12 years ago
I know people always interpret songs as drug songs, but I refuse to think of this song that way, even if it is about drugs. To me, this is a simple song about life. Whenever I hear it I cry. First time I heard it, it sent shivers down my spine. I just understood, you know? You ever feel like a song was written for you? Of course I know this wasn't, but I can just relate to it so well.

Anyway -- basically I think this song is saying how amazing the world is, how the sky is blue and the wind blows and the earth is round and it's so amazing it makes you cry and turns you on. Not turns you on sexually, just turns you on to the world. Tune in, etc. Sometimes I'm doing nothing at all, and I look at the sky and almost cry. It's so amazing, that we're here and we're alive and the sky is so beautiful..idk im a gay twat I just love this song

The Beatles – Girl Lyrics 13 years ago
In my honest opinion, I don't think this song is to do with drugs at all - especially not heroin or cocaine. That came later. The Beatles, at this time, were smoking pot consistently, even in the studio. It is quite obvious that they are inhaling, not exhaling, and I think they were just doing this to mess with the censors and see how far they could go. The same with the tit tit tit noise. It actually IS tit tit tit, not doot doot doot. George Harrison even said that they were trying to see how far they could go w/ the censors again. All these people saying that it couldn't be tit tit tit are wrong. It is.

My interpretation of this song isn't drugs, it's actually about a girl. It's like when you're so in love with someone, no matter how horrible they are to you, you stay with them because you're too attached. If you confront them about it, they promise to change. 'She promises the earth to me and I believe her, after all this time I don't know why'. It's basically a song about a girl who is slightly ignorant, who takes people for fools and messes with people, seeing how far she can push them, and maybe if something drastic like death occurred, she'd only start to believe how bad she was.

Girl is a sort of love song, I suppose he's saying how much he loves her and the sighing 'Ah, girl' is basically a sort of painful yet affectionate way. It's a beautiful song.
But it's not about cocaine.
