Just at the most basic level it seems like this song is about dying. They're driving off into the great unknown, and while drunk and stoned at that. It also seems like the person in the song has sort of lost their faith, saying that they love their unseen lord but that it's complicated. |

Maybe it's because I just got done reading a book about a couple on drugs, but something about this really does remind me of doing drugs. The line "Just take me home 'cause I'm a mess enough clean" makes me think of it, and the bit at the beginning of tying off their arms. |

The line "if you could be in my life like you've been on my mind/it'd be so easy" gives me goosebumps. Even though the song makes it sound like she was the one that ended the relationship and he's not going to let her back in ("I know I'm to blame but it kills me that I made you hate me/like you've erased me"), it's hard not to feel for her and wish everything could be right for her again. |

I love this song. It's one of my favorite Icarus Account songs. To me, the guy has accepted that his girlfriend has left, but he's not over her and hopes that maybe she's not totally over him, too. |

I completely love this song. Schuyler's voice is amazing and this song is the perfect love song. It's a little sad, but hopeful, too. Something about the line "I wasn't so fragile/'Cause I know that I'm not easy to handle" makes me think she's kind of a jealous person and maybe comes off as a little overbearing because she's afraid of losing him to someone else. The line "I don't wanna beg for your time/I want you mine, all mine" makes me think that, too. |
