Agreed. Brian has said his "first wife" (ie Great Expectations, so I'd assume this song too) is someone who he had a relationship with when he was younger. The relationship was, to him (at that point in his life), very much like a marriage. He thought he'd be with her forever. |

Brian Fallon has never been divorced. In Great Expectations "first wife" is just referring to a past relationship with someone that was much like a marriage. You know, when you're young and in love and you think you're going to be with someone forever... that kind of thing. :) |
