I think you have it perfectly. |
The Whip – Trash Lyrics | 13 years ago |
I agree with Crossbite, to a point. The song does have a non-conformist feel to it, but i believe it is directed at an individual rather than the audience. I think of a father or mother saying to their children not to "wear that trash" or "listen to that trash" or possible "be that trash". And he wants to be that which is, in their eyes, trash and he knows it pisses them off. yes? |

i second that opinion, though this song is quite eloquent. |
Panic! at the Disco – The Ballad of Mona Lisa Lyrics | 13 years ago |
In the video it says things like "stop the clocks" and "cover the mirrors" which are things you do when someone dies. Then it says "He starts to notice empty bottles of gin And takes a moment to assess the sin She's paid for" i think its about a prostitue and he may have liked/loved/known her before hand but i think that after hes paid for sex, she goes in the bathroom or something and dies and then he fucks her and rationalizes by saying "theres nothing wrong with just a taste of what youve paid for" sick i know but after reading the lyrics it kinda makes sense... |

Big Tree – Promise Me Lyrics | 13 years ago |
I think this song is about blind faith in someones (lover, god, family) love. When she says "the sky doesnt always have to be blue, i learned that from you" it reminds me of when someone says "if i said the sky was green theyd believe me" meaning that she loves them so much she believes (whoever it is's) lies. seems plausible yes? but the ending "i dont want to forget how to say i love you" i have no idea. maybe she thinks because her love goes without saying that she doesnt know how to show it...idk.. I love Big Tree! |
