Death – Story To Tell Lyrics 13 years ago
Sounds like Schuldiner commenting on the now-legendary personal problems he had with some of the guys he used to work with, or with people who got close to him in general. Chuck was known to be rather difficult to work with and tended to have a new lineup for nearly every record -- or to hear him tell it, he was largely misunderstood and didn't meet people he was comfortable working with longterm up until the last few records.

In any case it sounds like he's talking about betrayal, loss of trust or etc. "Evil Chuck" was his nickname from the earlier days when they used to sing more typical guts-and-gore deathmetal stuff, so that's almost certainly what he's referring to. "I am past, a story to tell" ... Chuck's grammar and phrasing were always a little odd so it's hard to tell what exactly he's saying here, but I think it's either

a) "I am past having a story to tell," ie. he's at a point in life where he's worried about something more than gossip, impressing people, etc, possibly a reaction to former bandmates or etc. telling stories about him in this fashion, or

b) "I am the past; I am a story to tell" ie. he realizes that he's reached a point in his career where he will always be iconic, always have people talking about him, always be made out to be some larger-than-life figure.
