Alice Cooper – Disco Bloodbath Boogie Fever Lyrics
| 12 years ago

Your interpretation of the song is way too literal. The song is about how rock killed disco, figuratively using the image of dancers at a discotheque being eliminated and eventually rock taking over at the end with the guitar segue. |

Meat Loaf – Good Girls Go to Heaven (Bad Girls Go Everywhere) Lyrics
| 12 years ago
|
This song is about fantasies about a crush. It's not about sexual fantasies. People tend to go beyond and interpret lyrics to reflect their own styles and thoughts (e.g. thinking nearly every song is about drugs). Good Girls Go to Heaven is simply about dreams and fantasies about the one you desire the most, but the one just might seem out of reach. |

You're totally right. This song is about fantasies about your crush/love/partner. It's not about sexual fantasies. People tend to go beyond and interpret lyrics to reflect their own styles and thoughts (e.g. thinking nearly every song is about drugs). Good Girls Go to Heaven is simply about fantasies about the one you desire the most, but the one just might seem out of reach. |

Elton John – Love Lies Bleeding Lyrics

So, women don't date other men? This song is clearly about a girl, citing the line "well if the wind of change comes down your way girl." Again, as someone else mentioned, Bernie wrote the lyrics, not Elton. |

Meat Loaf – Blind As A Bat Lyrics

This song isn't about a supernatural entity from mythological folklore (i.e. "god"). It's about something totally real. It's about the love between two people. |

Meat Loaf – Seize the Night Lyrics

The lyrics here are slightly incorrect. This is how it should be according to the official booklet:
You gotta curse the day
It's nothing but a merciless lie
So open up your arms and then you get down on your knees
You're sucking on the darkness and you're ready now to seize
Seize the night
Seize the night |

Elton has performed this song. He's performed and recorded all of the songs from Aida. They were just never officially released. |

There are quite a few grammatical errors present. The user who submitted it didn't proofread it and check with the official lyrics, unfortunately. |

Elton John – Hey Ahab Lyrics
|
This song is definitely a very clever allegory using Captain Ahab's voyage from Melville's Moby Dick, as torteforte mentioned. The allegory is that, despite the constant struggles and hardships encountered in everyday life, one should always stay true to his or her self, persevere, and overcome the challenges in life. |

No. Go watch some interviews with Elton or Bernie regarding this song. Then you'll really know what this song is about. It has nothing to do with drugs. |

Elton John – Bennie And The Jets Lyrics

This song wasn't even written when Elton and Bernie were in their drug days. During the 70s, the pair were totally sober. Your comment is unbelievably ludicrous and only reflects your own personal affection for stimulants. |

Elton John – Bennie And The Jets Lyrics

It was during the 1980s when he took drugs, not the 70s when he wrote this song. This song has nothing to do with drugs, but I'm sure you think every song is about drugs. |

Elton John – Bennie And The Jets Lyrics

|
Why does everyone think every song is about drugs? This song was written during the 70s when Elton and Bernie weren't in their recreational drug using days. That was the 80s. The song is about all of the popular glam rock bands during that time and how ridiculous they were. |

Elton John – Rocket Man Lyrics

If you've ever read or seen any of Bernie Taupin's and Elton John's interviews, they clearly state that this song is indeed about being away from one's loved ones. It's a song about the Space Race, since that was a huge deal during that time and a very popular subject. There were a lot of other songs written about the Space Race during this time with similarities in thematics, such as David Bowie's "Space Oddity". It has nothing to do with drugs. |
