In my defense, I must have been about 13 when I posted that comment. But I still stand by the fact it is an 'epic' song despite how overused the term may be. Also, a song can still be emotional without understanding the lyrics, instrumental songs can be some of the most moving pieces of all, yet they have no lyrics to understand at all. Just justifying my lil naive 13 year old self. |

I agree that this sounds like its about his,or one of the bands sisters having an addiction. The way he talks about the bottles being her friends and he devil in her bloodstream must be a reference to alcohol, and the line about purple scars could be a reference to scars caused by injecting heroin? It also sounds like he feels guilty for not being there for her? the line 'im not doing right by my family' being constantly repeated makes it seem as if they are annoyed at him for something, maybe being constantly on tour while 'Madelyn' is addicted to drugs. Anyway its a brilliant song, love the way his voice cracks in it, makes it that bit more emotional. |

I feel its about teenage girls caring about what they look like to 'fit in' and things like that. "all the scars on your skin, post no bills" Saying about plastic surgery and such like. Although its more likely about self-harm. Very emotional songs anyways and the old muse is so much better than the "twilight" muse that everyone seems to be in love with now. Interested to see what any new material that they do will be like. |

I agree with everything you just said xD There lyrics seem really origonal and poetic almost. And yeah they are hard to interpret, but i like that about them. Very metaphoric. Yeah! That 'Suspended floating in empty spaces...' section is my favorite part aswell. The way the clean vocals in the background and the growls blend so well, and the rhythem of the lyrics is really powerfull too. It sucks i missed a chance to go and see these.. -.- |

This song is absolutely amazing, i love how it goes from being beautifull to brutal so well, although i have to admit the old singer was a better, screams and clean (but the new guy has a hell of a voice). I must thank vulterer for the explanation there because i had no clue what the lyrics were about at all... Lovin the new album, finally thank god... :D |

Best song of the album in my opinion. Its strange how an instrumental song like this can be so emotionally moving and it can sometimes brings me to tears. I have to agree with djnee that the strings are a little loud, But when it hits the part at 3:55 it all just seems to explode. Masterpiece. |

When i first heard this band i stereotyped them as just an averadge deathcore band that sung about killing whores all the time. But once i acctually started listening to the music i realised that were pretty good, lyrically and musically. I love they way the lyrics seem so poetic and brutal at the same time? As for this songs meaning, i'm not totally sure but it seems to me like its about jesus being evil and by getting himself crucified, causing people to believe he died for there sins therefore they can live freely, 'I'm begging for youth suicide and third term abortion. I'm here to see purity's crucifixion and witness a genocide initiative.' I'm probaly totally wrong but it's just a theory. :D Best song on the album for me. |

These guys are amazing!! I love how they have epic breakdowns but still manage to add some awsome sweep solos in :D Oh and the guys highs are brilliant. Anyway this song is about how being religous can hold you back in life and you shouldnt live the way god or the devil wants. |

Right, i'l breakdown this song line by line so bear with me. 'I have seen the tides change course, without a warning, without the winds or the waves.' (A sudden change has taken place) 'She will empty the graves because we are all the same.' (I think this means that we are all going to die in the end) 'I'm reaching out to you, so you could all be saved.' (Saving somone) Give me your hands. This is the end. (self explanitory really) 'We're all gonna fucking drown. Let's make a change now' (Unless they do something, then they will die, i think this is also a reference to the ocean metaphore used earlier) 'These black clouds above your head, won't turn white until your dead.' (This either means that the person or people bring misery where ever they go and would make everything better if they died.) 'I live this life with no regrets. I live and I learn, I forgive and forget' (Hes going to live life to the full and let nothing stop him from living. He doesnt really care about anything anymore) We'll rise against this. We will rise one more time. (Put an end to whatever there fighting against.) 'I'll fly with a murder of crows.' (Crows symbolise death so, this means that he knows that where hes going, he will probaly die.) 'I'll swim were the ocean has chose.' (Follow his destiny,sort of thing) 'But Rome wasn't built in a day.' (Sucsses wont come straight away, you've got to work to get it' 'To Heaven or to Hell only time will tell' (He doesnt know whether, it will end well or not) 'Through the sun into the grey. I will fight before I pray.' (There heading towards the end and he's puting his cause before himself) 'Give me your hands, this is the end. All will be gone' (Self explanitory) 'What happens tonight echoes through eternity.' (What there doing will change the future) To sum up, this song is about fighting agaisnt somthing. I get the feeling that this song is about how society is becoming deluded and false. 'I laugh out loud `cos I don`t know what`s worse; cheap movie speeches or those who believe in them' This is basically saying that people are getting absorbed into media and tv and are shutting everything else out. 'It`s so, so much easier to hate than to listen and try to understand' I love this line and i think it means that people are essentially 'hating' anything they dont understand.I dont know weather its referring to people hating 'emos' and 'goths' because they look different, but thats the feeling i get from it. This is a really powerful song and it realates to allot of people i know. Blinded colony are amazing ,but its a real shame the vocalist left though. Can't wait for the new album! |

I think this song is about going into the afterlife and leaving everything behind. 'The day of mourn are pass All sorrow aside I finally arrived In a realm I thought not be true' I dont know weather this is a direct referance to heaven or weather there a christian band or not but im nearly certain that its to do with the afterlife. Personnaly, i think this is about trying to let go of a traumatic past (probaly a past relationship) 'Come to my senses give up all past tenses Because If i stay in the past I just won't last' Hes realising that he has to forget what happened otherwise he will just give up on life.
