| I'm pretty sure the line is "My fingers laced TO crown" as in the base of the skull...for it to mean her fingers laced A crown they'd have to be on top of his head, instead of around his neck. The crown is the term for where the neck meets the back of the head. I don't mean to only concentrate on that one thing, but I just don't agree with a lot of the comments pertaining to that line. | |

| Milk and honey have always been known as the ultimate comfort. Usually it's heated up, the warmth just seeps right in. If she's weeping it...maybe it's because she tried comforting herself so much, but it's not working? I don't know about the biblical part...but a lot of things are related to religious things without anyone ever realizing it. Missy could just be singing it as a comfort thing, without knowing anything of the phrase's history....or she could be referencing the source intentionally. Who knows. This song makes me heart hurt everytime I here it. | |

| does no one think there's something of death in here? "It's not alright when you're not breathin"... and he's drunk and asks "oh my god, what have I done?" I mean, I can see where I might have this totally wrong, but it just seems that he's in complete agony over something. He also says "I can never make anything last" meaning it's obviously over. And he prays he sees the city limit signs...what if he's running from the city, and looking for the marker so he knows he's out of the city. I'm not saying he killed her, but maybe she died. He's accusing her "you can call it what you will but I'll call it leaving." All of this just seemed so clear to me, even the first time i heard it. I think he's hurt, depressed, regretful, and kind of angry. | |

| this song touched me so deeply, that i even got Breathe Me tattooed on the outside of my calf. I have something written on each side of each leg, spawned from this song. Want Me Need Me Love Me Breathe Me. And Breathe Me is in the most extravagant script. This song could be the only song left on the planet and I'd be happy. To me there are four steps to love. You have to want, desire the person; then you get to a point where the clinginess and need to be around them sets in; loving the person obviously is next, where the butterflies come in and what not; last is that all consuming feeling, as if you aren't even living off air anymore, but breathing in that person and all that they are. I feel she wants to be that to someone. She's so desperate to be that important to someone, that it's heartbreaking to live everyday alone. | |
