King Harvest – Dancin' in the Moonlight Lyrics | 11 years ago |
I don't want to listen to this song too much... I don't want to look at pictures of the band... I don't want to do any research... I don't want to figure it out... because the first 35 seconds or so are just magic... |
Amel Larrieux – I N I Lyrics | 11 years ago |
Basically this song is about not letting people or social institutions define you... even if they are mainstream or based in religion. You need to have your own direct spiritual connection and be you own person. I n I is often mentioned in reggae music... I have a hemp t-shirt with a lion head on the front and I n I on the back and it makes me feel super. Fusion. Smooth, smooth song. |
Bob Marley and the Wailers – Could You Be Loved? Lyrics | 11 years ago |
The lines: "You ain't gonna miss your water Until your well runs dry No matter how you treat him The man will never be satisfied" Makes me think that Bob is talking directly to one lady and this lady is currently with a man and she is giving her love (water) to another man and this man may not be able to reciprocate her love, or maybe he is unable to be satisfied for whatever reason. Regardless, Bob does love this women and he wants to know if she can be loved. He recognizes she is giving herself (her water) to a man and she is not getting a return on her investment and Bob is telling her that she won't realize the effects of her giving her (water) until her essence is put in jeopardy (well runs dry) and Bob wants to know if she can be loved... he wants her to love him and to love her too because he doesn't think she is being loved. If I wanted to take a few steps back... I could see a larger concept being touched on which is to basically live for love and protect your essence. The world can be crazy and there are many obstacles, but you need to keep a place in your heart and protect it. Be smart and "stay alive" "Don't let them change you Or even rearrange you, Oh! No We've got a life to live They say only, only Only the fittest of the fittest shall survive Stay alive" |
Nas – No Introduction Lyrics | 11 years ago |
But I'm a righteous son, despite I'm in the mist of Dudes who switch up and change They want to carry me like I'm some kind of lame I never let them know, I just forgive them though Either that or the pistol blow The craziest things already happened to me So either you'll be laughing at me or you're laughing with me, ha ^^Basically. Nas is like... reflecting on his entire life on this album and he's not selling himself short... he's saying he has lived a wild life and he's just looking to make peace on some level. |
Jimmy Cliff – The Harder They Come Lyrics | 11 years ago |
And they think that they have got the battle won I say forgive them Lord They know not what they've done |
Nas – Destroy & Rebuild Lyrics | 11 years ago |

REO Speedwagon – Take It on the Run Lyrics | 13 years ago |
The feeling I get from this song is that this guy doesn't want to believe his "girl" is sleeping around on him... but after a while he starts to feel as though she is... However, there is some sort of bond that they have, maybe a history together... He is saying that if she is going out with other guys then she should go ahead and do whatever she wants... she really hurts him and she is not honest with him... but she comes back to him and he is basically saying you don't have to come back to me... The interesting thing is that he knows she is sleeping around and he is sad... but he doesn't get angry and he doesn't want her to leave... he is genuinley hurt and saying if you want to be with other guys then go ahead... you dont have to come back to me... He truly loves her beyond personal gain |
