The Beatles – Something Lyrics 13 years ago
Well I do think Dylan is incredible but I don't think that can be proved by the attendance at his concerts. Some pretty untalented current popstars (Justin Beiber for instance) get a pretty large crowd.

I do think that FelixCloud fails to realize that there is more to an artist than vocals. He can sing, just not in the classical way and you could argue that it makes his sound more interesting. He also sings with emotion, something that you can't put too small of a price on

Another quote that supports your interpretation is:

"I wake up, my shoulders cold" Clearly, he's not wearing a shirt, need I say more maybe she stole the blanket...

Vampire Weekend – Cousins Lyrics 14 years ago
I saw them live in England and before they played this song Ezra said "You could say that this song is about our two nations [America and England] and how they relate to each other" (or something along those lines). I think this song is about immigration a few generations ago.

Dad was a risk taker/his was a shoemaker -- shoemaker was a popular profession of poorer immigrants coming to America. The 'risk-taking' could be the immigration itself.

"you found a sweater on the ocean floor" Could be referring to the boats crossing the Atlantic from England to NYC.

I really like the line "You were born with ten fingers and you're gonna use them all" I think it's sort of a satire of when parents guilt trip you by saying how much easier you have it than them. The ten fingers could be all of the opportunities that America has to offer and how 3rd or 4th generation Americans should take advantage of that.

Cake – Commissioning A Symphony In C Lyrics 14 years ago
I've never heard of a composer named Beetevon. You could mean Beethoven but I know that someone who feels so passionately about this composer, such as yourself, would never misspell his name. So next time make sure you have a clue about how to spell before posting a comment.
