Within Temptation – And We Run Lyrics 9 years ago
Xzibit's verse really speaks to me as if it sounds like it's coming from someone with a hell of a lot of life experience. Doesn't sound like a facade at all

The Ocean – Statherian Lyrics 12 years ago
This is such an epic song, I love it. The meaning is pretty much to just live your life free of material desires, and instead comprise it of spiritually fulfilling experiences like helping others.

The Ocean – The Grand Inquisitor II: Roots & Locusts Lyrics 12 years ago
The song's meaning is pretty self-evident by just reading the lyrics. The Ocean aren't saying religion is uniformly bad, nor is he condemning those who hold continuing faith in their religion. When they say that "it is not your love I do not accept" they mean they value the morals that religion imparts on the devotees, but instead they turn away from religion (specifically Christianity in this case) because of the literal interpretation of the bible which lends to fanaticism over the years. The running theme seems to be one of living in a humanist fashion with love for the fellow man and accepting the world for what it is rather than waiting for "roots and locusts".

Digitalism – Just Gazin' Lyrics 12 years ago
The take it easy, easy on me part sounded very familiar. Is that a sample from Feist?

Thomas Giles – Scared Lyrics 12 years ago
This song left me in tears the first time I heard it. So moving. I believe the song is just painting the scene of someone delivering the message that a death has occurred.

Thomas Giles – Hamilton Anxiety Scale Lyrics 12 years ago
This song is about anxiety and a strategy to control your it. The title itself is a test for the severity of anxiety. Breathing in slowly and feeling your pulse is a breathing technique to quell the tide of a panic attack. I love how the song simply represents how anxiety feels, it's rare to see it conveyed so cleanly as when you hear "can't control my fear, my doubts" battling "breathe in slowly, feel your pulse" simultaneously.

Amazing song from an amazing guy; I hope to hear much more from Thomas Giles.

Cunninlynguists – The Gates (feat. Tonedeff) Lyrics 12 years ago
Anyone else notice the symbolism behind the last line from deacon? (Sentenced to fight fires for eternity)

I JUST realized the relation between him being a fire fighter

Bullet for My Valentine – A Place Where You Belong Lyrics 14 years ago
Its about somebody becoming incredibly depressed over a very close person killing themselves, and the song kinda tells about how when a person commits suicide, the people around might be led into the same action. "Will I see you on the other side? You won't have to wait too long." Its a really meaningful song to me, i love it.

Bullet for My Valentine – Dignity Lyrics 14 years ago
"Anarchy will only make it better" is the line i believe.

I believe this is about somebody dying of old age, and he wants to die as he lived. Living life; and that is what gives him his dignity.

It Dies Today – Nihility Lyrics 14 years ago
This is simply about a nihilist, someone who doesn't believe in morality; and how his beliefs prevent him from truely relating the other people. His inability to feel pain prevents growth as a character; which in turn prevents him prospering in this "harsh reality" he has created for himself.

It Dies Today – Miss October Lyrics 14 years ago
Great song, meanings pretty straightforward too.

This is about somebody lost in their thoughts and regrets over losing someone in the past. They feel that they have actually failed the other person, and this person is constantly dwelling on these thoughts.
