This is my interpretation of the song, based on the current situation of the band and the lyrics themselves:
I believe the whole album Sounds Of A Playground Fading is in some way related Jesper Stromblad's permanent departure from the band. This song, specifically, would be his fair-well speech. |

they are the most prominent and pushy religion in america and europe and thus the anger is directed towards them, but honestly, all religion imo is a joke, i prefer naturalism(which is a form of atheism). what you see is what you get, there is no god outside of existence, or outside the effects of nature(theres no such thing as super natural powers). that all the bibles of the world are simply old stories made in an attempt to explain the world, the 'stories' are the parts that deviate from the truth which personificate things that are remotely true. they distorted it way to much. |

i think it means that those who wish for eternal life would be quite disappointed with it if they got there. i find it difficult and kind of depressing to think about having to live for eternity anywhere. i think the thought of nonexistence is quite calming but also somewhat unachievable(one of the reasons i dont intend on ending this life any time soon, i fear coming back in some way shape or form via reincarnation). |
