She's telling her fans and audience "Gimmie sympathy" when this is all over, for her fans to remember how things were, "all the chances" she took with her band. She says "We're so close to something better left unknown" the decline of her band, or getting to a status that may end up being a bad thing. Does she wanna keep going? Or does she want to end things now? I think she is going through a battle in her head. Because as the times tick and she gets older she starts to realize that this wont last forever.
