Before everybody jumps up and says "NO UR STOOPID" like people do on here, I did hear one version of it where it says "joy" along with "god". It doesn't on the original version, though. |

OH GOD I love this song SOOOOOO much. I really like the Annuals cover of it, it gives me chills how they do the questions.... it scares the hell out of me, but I enjoy it....
It really reminds me of the book / movie The Road... you'd have to read it to understand.

Thanks for this explanation! I KNEW as I listened to this song that the lyrics were more personal, and had to be talking about one of their personal struggles, I just didn't know what it was... This really cleared things up for me. And that's also a neat perspective on their whole album... I feel better about knowing the meaning now.
