Misfits – Hybrid Moments Lyrics 11 years ago
The final script for the movie "Alien" was released in 1978. the album "Static Age" was recorded in 1978 (though it was not released in its entirety until 1997.) Can you think of another story with creatures that "rape your face?" And the Alien is, without question, a hybrid of the two species from which it came.

Misfits – Theme For A Jackal Lyrics 12 years ago
Theme for a Jackal is about drinking, and how the liquor industry, and permissive attitudes ruin lives. I'm not going to go any deeper than that. I want to, but if you're too dumb to read the lyrics again and make the connections for yourself, you don't deserve understand this song. Go listen to a band evenly balanced with your pathetic intellect.

Misfits – Demonomania Lyrics 15 years ago
There are two ways to read this song. “Look upon me I am the Beast” could be a reference to the Beast in the Book of Revelation, though I doubt it. More likely, the word beast is not a biblical reference, but the common, human perception of wolves. Demonomania is a term which was created the late 1500’s to describes a condition where a patient believes that he is possessed by demons. In the case of this song, lycanthropy is linked to demonic possession, which is not a new idea. Usually the transformation into a wolf involves some kind of ritual to spark the process. Drinking rainwater from the footprint of a wolf (mentioned in the Misfits song “Speak of the Devil”) is one such way, but there are many. In any case, transformation into a wolf is a way to escape society, which (in Danzig’s eyes) is pathetic -- hence the line: “humans are weak” -- and lacks the integrity of wolves, who do not lie or cheat or steal, but work only for the good of the pack.

Misfits – Descending Angel Lyrics 16 years ago
I saw the Misfits a few months ago. Before they played this song, Jerry dedicated it to someone who had recently died. To me, this is probably the deepest and most meaningful Misfits song ever written. Descending Angel is not about a movie. It's about losing a loved one. Think about it.

Okay, let me break it down for the dumbf*cks who post things like: "I like dis song, ha ha."

Descending Angel = That extremely rare person who is so good it almost seems like they don't belong down here with the rest of us.

Guarding the gates of hell = Protecting the ones you love from pain.

Facing the night = Facing death.

Hiding in shadows = Not realizing how great a person is, until they're gone.

Forever ends tonight = Being able to see your loved ones again (when you die, too).
