Green Day – Hearts Collide Lyrics 14 years ago
I think the lyrics are supposed to be a throwback to a 60's pop love song type of thing. But it's basically just about falling in love with someone.

The Rolling Stones – No Use In Crying Lyrics 14 years ago
She hurt him, but he's tired of feeling sorry for himself. There "ain't no use in crying", so he's leaving town and forgetting about her.

The Rolling Stones – Baby Break It Down Lyrics 14 years ago
Very underrated tune.

This is about a relationship gone wrong. Mick pretty much places the blame on the other person. "And who jumps the fences? And who builds the walls?" sums it all up. In Mick's mind, he's going out of his way and 'jumping fences' for this person...but they just put up walls and keep him out. He still wants it to work though, and in the last verse, he's basically telling her that they should just quit playing games with each other and try to give it a chance.

The whole song he's asking her to break her walls down and let him in.

The Rolling Stones – Can You Hear the Music? Lyrics 14 years ago
I have always loved this song. Cool psychedelic vibe and catchy as hell.

I think the line "When you hear the music, trouble disappear" sums up what this whole song is about. Try not to over analyze every little thing in life and don't let anything bring you down because as long as you've got the music, everything will be alright.

The Rolling Stones – Let It Loose Lyrics 14 years ago
Having just gone through a breakup, this song hits right at home.

And I think that's exactly what this song is about. Mick fell for someone because he needed someone. Those 'corny lines' she said went to his head, and he fell for all of it. But at the same time, he knew all the while that it was only a matter of time before she would break his heart. It didn't matter though, because he needed someone to be there, even if it was only for a 'month or two'.

The end of the song is the equivalent of sitting in your room with your face in your hands crying. Hence the 'shut the light' and 'let it all come down'. But the line 'let it loose' is saying you need to let it go and move on. Get it all out....scream...cry...do whatever you need to do. But then let it loose and move forward.

That's only my interpretation. But the great thing about a song that's sort of abstract like this is that you can interpret it in so many different ways.

Foo Fighters – Word Forward Lyrics 14 years ago
I have a hard time figuring out just what this song is about exactly.

Dave stated at the VH1 Storytellers gig that it is about his close friend Jimmy Swanson dying and how after something like that happens, all you can do is move forward.

I get that, but I don't quite understand how the "I meant every word...they're just fucking words" stuff ties in with that.

But I guess in the end, it's just about moving on and going forward.

Foo Fighters – Wheels Lyrics 14 years ago
I think this song is simply about going through something and not being able to wait until it's over with. Much like being in an airplane and not being able to wait until the wheels finally 'touch ground'. It's a metaphor. But the key is that the wheels DID eventually touch ground. So "when you feel like it's all over, there's another round for you".
