Charlie Landsborough – I Will Love You All My Life Lyrics 4 years ago
Folks please-- give this folk singer from across the pond a chance--
too cool--many songs on spotify including a lot of Beatles covers. He can handle a melody and is so soft in his delivery it is haunting and to be cheirshed.

This song is very special too--give it a listen--
Cheers

The Moody Blues – Dawning Is The Day Lyrics 7 years ago
THis has just hit me can be like someone lost in space trying to get home or to another planet for safe harbor, but is lost, lost, lost. Kinda like in Star Trek Lost THis has just hit me can be like someone lost in space trying to get home or to another planet for safe harbor, but is lost, lost, lost. Kinda like in Star Trek Lost Generation but on a wholly different scale--personal. Maybe the alien world is welcoming a person lost in space and cannot find them yet--but they will. THey are promising they will. THe song is so moody for one person feeling a bit abandoned, but keeps one focused on what dreams they are seeking to find. Focus, Dude. You're gonna make it after all. Just a wonderful song as far as how it doesn't let up on the concept, the seeds of the feeling remain strong and steady throughout. but on a wholly different scale--personal. Richard Harris – MacArthur Park Lyrics 11 years ago
ANd the bridge to this song-- to sing and play is magic. I think of the park and being there all this time and how the darn city has turned into a melted cake as all the little towns that were cool in the fifties have gone down the tubes the same as sweete ole Holiwood where my girl lived as a kid and had great great moments and trips to beach on her bike-- Oh boy. Thanks for sharing --all you readers, players, singers, and listeners.

Jimmy Webb – By The Time I Get To Phoenix Lyrics 11 years ago
Just close your eyes and let it happen. The mood --the pure hubris of the singer. Webb is so underrated and missed from the music scene of the oughts.

Thanks for improving my feelings for this overplayed little gem from a once cutting edge terrific and kind of scary wonderful band of the seventies.

Buffalo Springfield – For What It's Worth Lyrics 11 years ago
But when we write it is meant to resonate with your experience--the audience. Written for one incident to make it real but applies to so many other situations in the sixties. You are in the time and cannot escape the multiple interpretation of what you write and what is repeased into the public airwaves. A very prescient song dont you think. TO think students study it in our day in age. In the olden times it was life --- and teachers would be sent to prison for taking this song to school. Now to church? That is another thing altogether...I played it at church--yes I did.

Dionne Warwick – I Say A Little Prayer Lyrics 11 years ago
Reminds me of Emily Dickinson who never went to church but prayed and stayed and composed in her house in Amherst, MASS. Nice song if you listen close and with an open mind to the olde interpretations of the band.

Frank Sinatra – Blue Moon Lyrics 11 years ago
Just to me a cool cool song in the C Am Dm G7 mode of the fifties. But also thot blue moon had something to do with volcanic ash in the 1900's obscurring the moon and making it blue-- making that a very very rare ocurrence. SOng is cool when redone in the sixites mode. Jazz interp is cool too for a different rendition.
