But if the man lied ten minutes after asking God to forgive him it's obvious who wasn't really pouring his heart out. It's the same with homosexuality. If someone's gay they continue to live a life of sin. If they die after living a life of sin and never asking God to forgive them.... Where will that lead?"
1. When you started developing feelings for and noticing girls, I was noticing and developing feelings for men.
2. I was born and never felt being gay was wrong. People telling you its wrong is not the same as feeling it's wrong.
3. "Become gay". No, buddy. If your god made everything, he made me with an insatiable appetite for boners. DEAL WITH IT!
3. "Being gay is wrong because it completely goes against the bible." Can you quote the bible verse where it says "Being gay is wrong and we are completely against it." NO, you can't.
Dude, bigots like you make me sad that you don't have enough love in your heart to realize the detriment that you are causing to youth. Some young people, and older people for that matter, believe being gay is wrong because you and people like you continuously berate and demean us as a people. Having hate for gays, is having the devil in your heart.
Check out the 'Brother Ali' song TIGHTROPE. You might realize how mucked up your making these people feel.

No clue what the song is about, maybe about celebrity treatment in the courts/jail stints/rehab. "With all the noise above, we tried to call his name" (helicopters & news reporters), "The diamond cuts arrive, the crowd behind went wild"(fans & supporters). Could possibly be about them being treated as a higher class of citizen. "Empty world, empty life" (material things don't bring lasting happiness). "I will wait one more night" (the large number of "accidental" ODs) Who knows? I'm probably far off. Either way, love the song. Love the album.
The end, "I'm ok, I'm alright" to the end, reminds me of the ( second?) verse of "How Soon Is Now?" by The Smiths. "There's a Club would you like to go?" verse. Just sad and resigned from life, depressing. Strange how it reminds me of The Smiths with no guitars in the song at all. |

REALLY? ok, if you absolutely love the strokes... you'd know 'on the other side' is from their third album "First Impressions Of Earth", not "Room On Fire", their second album.
This is a "I don't have anyone to help me/ rely on/ talk to" type song. They help us depressed people cope with shitty circumstances. Sorry if that breaks up your record. If your listening to it on vinyl, it flows beautifully. |
