this song kind of rings true to me right now. i just got out of a one year relationship my first love, but he changed over time and he's no longer the same person. apparently he lied to me a lot, especially when things went sour, and it busted me up pretty bad. i depended on him too much. how much i trusted him and gave him was too much for only one year. now i realize that i have to depend on myself and be the one to make myself happy, because i know prince charming isn't going to rescue me every time i'm at a low point. i don't want someone to tear me down every time they build me up, so it's best to be the one to build myself up. i can't leave my heart with untrustworthy people.

The way EternalV0ice described it could be it. It's also true that you can interpret songs however you'd like. As for the idea about this song describing sex/an orgasm, that must explain why it makes me so hot. Ha ha.
Maybe none of you will relate to this, (I'm not a total sap, I swear) but this song makes me feel like I do after making up with my boyfriend from a fight or rough patch. I get all worked up over it, then we make up, we're happy, and the familiar feeling of love and ecstasy returns. It feels like a dreamlike state and nothing else matters. And I feel like I'm where I should be (home.) |
