This song is about actively searching for and finding love. The lifeline it refers to is in palmistry (fortune telling through reading the palm). A straight lifeline was thought to mean a life full of romantic timidness whereas a curved lifeline would mean a life full of passion. So by saying "I don't live my lifeline straight" it means he takes chances and perhaps gets hurt, but is always fully immersed in the pursuit and finding of love. |
