This is pretty much my favourite song ever. Although it's hard to really choose one. But it's up there. I'm sure that there are other people who feel that this song just sums up their youth, what it's like going through your teenage years, and growing up. It makes me sad, but at the same time, happy. And I can't exactly say why. It's an amazing song though. Billy Corgan is a musical genius. |

Most people seem to be in agreement that this song is about a failing relationship, but hear me out anyway. Notice how he says "you's" and not you? "'Cause I love you's not enough". Plural right? For me it's about having an eventual falling out with a group of friends. Something happens and things change, but you try to stick around, for whatever reason. Things go wrong though. I'm not gonna get any more specific than that. I mean... there are far too many people on this site seeking sympathy from strangers, no one needs to hear personal examples. But yeah, that's what the song means to me and how I interpret it. I hope that helps. |
