to me this song talks about a person who has feelings for someone else but she didn't feel the same way, and how he knows that he would've treated the girl better "And I know that you couldn't see That it's too bad that your gone and not here with me", but she just didn't want to be with him. Also that he knows that she's in love with him, and he knows she's gone but he just can't get her out of his head, and how he questions himself to why he loves her so much. "So why are you pulling away? It must be from things that I say, And I'm thinking you're thinking of him. So why do I even care at all?..." idk if you agree with me but I write this because that's how I reflect on it because that's exactly how I feel...and i've learned this song on guitar/vocals, because of that... |

to me this song expresses someone who is sad because of someone going away "And if I grow old Then you were never there", whether it be romantic or otherwise, and how he/she is depressed over it "I'm face down and know one knows", and by "no one knows" means that, that person doesn't show their sadness because they don't want anyone to know. Also how no matter what they would still be there for that person who when away, yet they question their own motive of protection for that person "And if I bleed? Then I will bleed for you And it's hard to see To see what I see in you", I've listened to this song countless times because it honestly reminds me of myself, because I don't show my sadness, and to me it's romantic because i've always loved my best friend, but she never felt the same way. but no matter what i'll always be there for here, and I feel exactly how I explained the lyrics before. |
