A Skylit Drive – Ex Machina Lyrics

"override command confirmed, manual control returned" a direct line from the movie Sunshine (2007.) which is what I believe this song was inspired by. Several interviews confirm this as the band mentions said movie as an inspiration in writing "Wires and the concept of breathing"
and if you havent seen Sunshine yet, do it. |

Oh, Sleeper – In the Wake of Pigs Lyrics
|
The concept of this album is God and Satan have destroyed each other, and the world is left without any heaven or hell, no consequences or an afterlife. This song describes a man searching for a higher power, but finding nothing. But there appears that God is still out there, struggling to get through to him. But in the end, he does. The battle has been won! |

Eyes Set to Kill – The Listening Lyrics

In reality we pity the few that don't believe in God. This song reminds me of someone who is lost. I get the strong impression that Alexia has never explored her faith, but formed her secular opinions based on others experiences. Fact of the matter is that my God has never abounded me, and never will. The skies are not empty. I feel sorry for those who do not know God, that must be a truly empty feeling. I can see why she is so frustrated with that. |

Oh, Sleeper – SON OF THE MORNING Lyrics

This song is spoken from the Devils point of view. "...I will claim your throne through all these cowards you call your sons"
The chorus is Gods direct response. "If you can see like me you'd see its by my grace you're breathing"
Very powerful song. Their new album will be incredible.
Micah said what this song is about on a video on YouTube. The link to it is below.
