| Animal Collective – Also Frightened Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| This song fits in the theme of the whole album--kids and wives and being grown up. The thoughts of death are only added to enhance the fear of parenthood represented in this song. I think it's one of the most blatant songs on the album, but that doesn't mean it's bad at all. | |

| I think the beauty of Animal Collective continues to shine in the way they weave things like this into their songs. At first, this album looks like a mellowed out AC who has decided to write songs about loving their wives and kids and blah blah. Then the instruments kick in, and you realize they're back at it again. Then you actually -read- the lyrics, and can understand from a literary view that they are extraordinary at what they do. | |

You know, there's this wonderful thing in literature called "double entendre." When it's used, it usually means both. So, I'm willing to bet it means everything. Why can't it? |
