Taking Back Sunday – You Got Me Lyrics | 12 years ago |
I agree with the above, it seems to be about a teenage pregnancy. This song stuck with me before i even listened to the lyrics, there is something so TBS about it, as well as their fast-paced sound, and it just makes you want to jump around and sing to it... well i do anyway. It just works really well as a whole. I liked it even more after listening to the lyrics, and the bit that says; You said "it's my body, boy, not your body, look here for Christ's sake, we're just kids" i really like that part because even though it's a decision for both of them, it's a lot of change and their really just kids themselves. definitely my favourite on the album. |

omg yes, blessbabe he so does sound like sting, even my parents picked it! but yer im thinking its about religion i think the shining of the rusty halo, means that all the bad things that maybe he's done in his life are catching up with him. |
Angelas Dish – The Light On Lyrics | 15 years ago |

Trial Kennedy – Knife Light Lyrics | 15 years ago |
:O first comment, WHAT! this is like my favourite TK song too. i have a feeling it could be about someone who has been pressured into committing a murder that they have to do 'or else' type thing? although i could be way off? |
Gyroscope – Raindrops Lyrics | 15 years ago |
my favourite also Shawry. i've always loved this one i've never overly analysed this one, but i have a feeling it has some religious undertones to it... or like a fugitive almost, or someone wanted. Not sure, but i'll continue to love it |
Gyroscope – Monument Lyrics | 15 years ago |
one of my favourite covers! its simply such a pretty song, always makes me happy listening to it "i'm supposed to be the one you want" |
Gyroscope – 1981 Lyrics | 15 years ago |
well personally i think it's about a drug addiction. maybe even one the narrator picked up through a relationship- hence the line "How all you friends adore your sudden glory", which could be a result from the drugs, and "all the times we made believe a story", but the narrator seems to not be able to escape the addiction even though 'he' wants to "run away from it all". i dunno, its just what i've always thought about it. but its one of my favourite gyro songs, for sure :) |
