First off, I'd like to say I really like the newer Haste The Day stuff. I love the old stuff, but I just think there is some sense of maturity or maybe that's not the word I'm looking for...maybe a new twist/sound. Anyways, I think it sounds great. I think this song is about giving your heart, soul, and body up for God. Allowing God to choose your path. "When the walls decide to close in, and the floor disappears beneath you. Just hang on to our last words and Resolve." I think this means like just as you think you can't continue and there's no more, God will "Resolve". God will take care of you. "Touch your hands to water Place them on the fire Have faith The flame will lose it's strength Just touch your hands to water" I think this is saying by believing in God (touching the water that is blessed, i.e. Holy Water) that you can fight problems that you are having in life. Maybe it's a breakup, death, or anything. Just "have faith" and all will work out. |

| This could possibly mean that the band is moving on without Craig, and they are happy with Beau as his replacement. I think Beau is singing in two perspectives. One being that he is speaking on behalf of the band, saying that they are now united and will stick together, breaking away from the old blessthefall and move on successfully. Two is that Beau is the loyal, new, singer. He is here to do his thing and be faithfully successful! | |

I think this can applied towards any relationship. (That's actually one thing I love about ADTR. Their songs allow you to drift and think of your own meaning for the song.) This can be someone in the military, away at school, traveling for a job, touring (in this case), etc... "I know you can’t give me what I need And even though you mean so much to me I can't wait through everything" I think this means that she is going to move on, even though, she really just wants to be with him. "Is this really happening?" And this Jeremy saying, "Come on? Just stay with me... Do you know what this will do to me?" "I swear I’ll never be happy again And don’t you dare say we can just be friends I’m not some boy that you can sway We knew it’d happen eventually" And this is Jeremy saying, "Ok fine, do what you want. Just know I'm not going to be around anymore if you follow through with this." |
