People are ashamed they like her because shes a disney kid, shes a little fake, she got terrible publicity for those online pics, she is not that talented (shes not bad,but not great), and her fan base usually consistes of twelve-year-old girls. And the nick thing...why does it matter really? As for the song itself...not bad. I kinda like it. |

I love this song. its catchy and its got a good beat. I don't know if its a publicity stunt or whatever, but either way, the song is pretty good. i do agree with musicjunkie09 about how some of the lyrics make him laugh..."bathing in windex" for 1. ha. but still a pretty good song. |

I like the message in this song. Shes saying shes going to be herself and not let the "lala land machine" (i.e. disney/hollywood) change her. And she not going to let other people's oppinions and such get her down. good song. But, its sad she signed to disney. Shes better than that. She has an amazing voice and good lyrics. But having a disney image means she has to make her songs more upbeat and posative, and she can't have as many deep or meaningful songs. And, being with disney means her fanbase in going to consist mostly of 12 year old girls. To be honest, its doubtful she'll really get anywhere beyond that and disney. Not many kids over the age of 12 and 13 give disney kids a chance, they have a rep for being poppy, annoying, and fake. Demi is soooo much better than that. Disney gave her a chance but it also ruined her. too bad. |

The best thing about songs, or art of any form for that matter, is that it can mean different things to different people. I was in a similar postion, but i interpret some of the lines in ways that are much more personal to my own situation, and likely not exactly how josh meant them when he wrote the song. "my reflection in the window where i ride could not save us but i swear to god i tried" To mean this line means that everytime after he had an encounter with another woman, he couldn't face himself and felt horrible. But each time he tried to change, his vulnerability and lonliness took over and he found himself cheating again. |

i agree that this song isn't as deep as a lot of their others but i think thats what makes it so great. who wants to hear deep, emotional, heartwrenching music all day? Sometimes you just want to think about something you would love to do and Honestly, haven't you ever just wanted to walk up to someone, even if its not a personal bully, and be like F YOU!? i know i have. Anyway i just think its so much more based on going all out and saying what you want to your own 'Jordan' not deep, but to me, still awsome |

this is a beautiful song. like someone said, its about how deression surrounds a person so much they cannot see how wonderful they are. A person sees the moon and sees beauty, but how does the moon see itself? it sounds weird, but really... It can't. The moon just sees the "the shattered surface, so imperfect" Thats my favorite part btw. "all the light that you possess is skewed by lakes and sea. The shattered surface, so imerfect is all that you believe" ...the idea is very close to home. Im sure almost everyone knows someone and no matter how many things they accomplish, how many times their told, or how many reasons they have to believe they are worth something, they won't belive it because they honestly just can't see their own true worth... anyway its a great song. absolutely fantastic. |

I really love this song. To me, this song is simply about life. And not just living life, but the idea that death is a part of it. I don't see the entire song being about death, though. I feel like its also about love, and starting over, and the mistakes a person makes during their lifetime. I just feel like its about the things we go through in life and the things that are heading our way, such as death. It seems like the song is open-ended and not just centered around one main topic. But i don't know. Thats just how i see it. Either way, the song absolutely beautiful and laura veirs has a wonderful talent for music.Love this song. |
