Immortality was debuted live on April 12,1994; about 7-8 days after Kurt died and 4 days after his body was found. Pearl Jam did start recording the song in March of '94 though, so it defiantly didn't start out as a tribute to Kurt Cobain. |

sure it may not be about drugs like everyone on here seems to think every song is about, but its more than a song about a land form. by the way i completely agree with you on that. every time i look on this site for a song from the 90s, especially from Seattle bands, there's always someone commenting about how its about drugs. like the bands from Seattle couldnt think of anything better to write about than getting high. |

i dont know but for some reason this song hits pretty hard even though its a really soft song. im not even going to pretend like im the biggest Nirvana fan in the world..dont get me wrong i love them, their just not my favorite band ever...but this song is fucking amazing. i love the unplugged version and the regular version. incredible. |
