To me the song sounds like it is about Aleister Crowley. Crowley's most famous statement is Do what thou wilt, that shall be the whole of the law" and he also wished to end Christianity by spreading his beliefs, and if you read the lyrics "Do what you will make it the whole of your law, Burn down the faith that shadows life" The first line is the same as the quote above it, and the second line seems to refer to his goal, to burn down the faith that shadowed him during his childhood which was Christianity |

To me when I hear this song I think of Egyptians, although the lyrics would have done good on Powerslave. But it makes me think of the Egyptians because of the Nile, the Sun (they believe the sun was very important), It is You (reffering to the person chose to be the Pharoah) the walls are cold (in a pyramid) souls cry out in pain(slaves building a pyramid for this ruler) but the solo in this song is my favortie out of any iron maiden IMO |

such a dope song I like when Megadeth has voices in their music because when you hear what the people are talking about it really helps you understand the feelings of the songwriter and why they wrote this song but yeah the pennies on your eyes part makes me wonder about that (it could just be a fantasy of dave's to see her dead after doing that or visions in a dream about the girl) |
