I am listening to this right now. It's not ever been one of my favs, however listening again I LOVE LOVE Tyler's voice! He is so incredible.!! I think this song is just about a crazy person? In their autobiography Walk This Way, its interesting to note that Joe Perry says they were always waiting on Steven to write the ballads...he was so messed up on drugs at this time in their career it ( the book) says he mostly threw these ballads together in like 10 minutes! Amazing...how good they are during that time! |

I find it interesting that even though Joe sings this song Steven's back ups still take over! You can here Tyler over Perry...no stopping Tyler's incredible voice, none like it any where! Love that my 16 year old is starting to get into them. I asked why and he told me they rock! ( i knew) and that you had to appreciate what they did for as old as they were! LOL |

I read in Aerosmith autobiography Walk This Way that he wrote this song for Joe Perrys wifeElissa Jerret. He didn't get along with her at all. She was like their Yoko Ono. Talked about how when he sang it she would laugh and she and Joe were so screwed up on drugs at the time that he grew to hate the song. |

I am new to here. this comment may have been posted if so sorry about the repeat info. Steven Tyler has a daughter named Jade! He wrote this song for and about her....hence you've got your mama's style ( mom was a model) but she is an old soul in his opinion so...but your yesterdays child. I am wondering how old she might have been when he wrote it? Sounds like she may have been into drugs and he feels like it's his fault! ?? |
