quoting cyanide, the feeling is that is talking to someone somehow scared and "cold" but still "alive" and perhaps someone important to the "speaker". the first two lines makes me think at a setting, a background for the rest of the scene. they are running, and most of them separate from other, the speaker remains with the "cold person" and try to save and be saved (perhaps emotionally "lay your hand on me" even if "you are so cold"). |

| well, imho it's about relationships, as wiseman387 sayed it's sounds like guarded to me too... it's about making things like a criminal, but without wanting to make them, like closing a relationship, or maybe is like the feeling you have when you are in a bad relationship, you feel bad, you feel like a criminal, you feel constantly guilty about something u have not done, and here we can make a link both to guarded and "just stop" as i sayed imho. | |

well, in my humble opinion, this song is pretty more generic than "the war", it tells about our world and how is going today... We don't want them, we want everything And we've stolen in this suffering And we've told them, to want everything But use caution in what you believe And the haunted, deny everything Controlling endless suffering yes of course there are allusions on the particular politic situation we are all living, but: when your own have died (sure is not when you are old and tired?) when theres no more pride when your soul is frozen, is that enough? when your heart is broken a thousand times with every moment, is that enough? is really more generic... is talking about the feeling you can (could) have if you are thinking about...well...everything i guess and with this i mean, relationsships, work, life in general, wars, politics, economics... everything.... i'm a bit confused about: "with every moment, is that enough?" i can't get the meaning of with every moment of what? well "is that enough" is pretty obvious... at the end you have your sould froze, your hearth broken... and it will be not enough probably, we have suffered anough, they have suffered enough... but we continue to want everything, and we want that others don't want everything, but we teach others to want everything like us... (this is the point of this song imho) |
